Competition Guide – useful tips:
Read rules thoroughly and note how marks are awarded in each section Plan your display, telling a story if possible. With an indicator page for easy reference. Do not overcrowd your entry, stamps should dominate, 4-7 single stamps per page, with focal point just above centre of page. Pages; preferably white, but at least all same colour. Protective sheets; all to be in good condition. Avoid diagrams.
Writing up - Fair consideration given to all methods.
Knowledge - Philatelic and related depth of study.
Condition - Are all items in good condition
Value and Rarity - Difficulty in finding items, not monetary value.
Improve your exhibiting; Enter competitions and act upon praise or criticism.

Aerophilately
This area should provide a study of Philatelic material, prepared for and used to convey post by Airmail by whatever means i.e. Aeroplane, Balloon, Helicopter, Catapult, Pigeon and similar. It may contain items, commemorating Aeronautic meetings and events by means of envelopes, postcards and similar posting material. Relevant non-philatelic items can be included where necessary to emphasise the entry. A planning sheet should be included to outline the entry.
Marks are awarded:
20pts — arrangement, appearance and balance.
30pts — philatelic knowledge, study and research.
20pts — continuity of subject.
10pts — condition and quality.

Postal History
The study of the origins and development of postal services and all aspects pertaining to them. This area should consist of material ranging from pre-adhesive entires, letters, pre-stamped covers and similar, which have passed through the post, before the advent of adhesive or imprinted stamps in the country of origin.
Marks are awarded:
15pts — arrangement of sheets
10pts — condition
15pts — write up
25pts  philatelic knowledge
15pts — related knowledge to emphasise entry
20pts — depth of study


Single-Sheet Competition
The entry should be based upon a stamp, stamps, cover, postcard or a combination on a
theme or subject within the Philatelic world.
Marks are awarded:
10pts — title or theme (does it reflect on one sheet)
20pts — layout
10pts — originality
10pts — write up
30pts  philatelic knowledge
20pts — study and research

Thematic 
The entry should be based upon a specific plan, development of a theme, telling a story or illustrating an idea by use of stamps, postcards, envelopes, or by any other means i.e. photographs, press cuttings etc.
A planning sheet should be included to outline the entry.
Marks are awarded:
15pts — title and plan,
15pts  layout, balance and arrangement.
20pts  write up,
20pts — thematic, philatelic knowledge.
10pts — condition and rarity
20pts  study and research.

Traditional
This area should consist of material from all periods and to include stamps, covers postcards or photographs of any country. It can be specialised or non-specialised and may include non philatelic items appropriate to the entry.
A planning sheet should be included showing the development.
Marks are awarded:
10pts — arrangement of sheets
20pts — condition of material
10pts — write up
20pts — philatelic knowledge
15pts — related knowledge to emphasise entry
20pts — depth of study

You may enter more than one sheet in A4 size
Competition is decided by elimination at each round
